Environmental Policy
Over the past few years an increasing amount of our customers have been interested in how “green” our trees are and where they are sourced.
This section gives you an insight into our responsibilities towards the environment and how we manage our trees so that they are as environmentally friendly as possible.
All of our trees are UK grown; we do not import any trees. Almost all of our trees with the exception of some very large specimens are grown at the farm on the Shropshire borders where we cut the Christmas trees daily.
As the trees are grown on site and distributed directly to you without coming from another grower or from abroad our trees carry a very low carbon footprint. In fact the carbon footprint is as low as the distance from us to you by road as this is the only transportation your tree will have received! This also means you get a much fresher and better product as the tree will be less distressed by movement during its distribution process.
We use reinforced single net packaging to avoid excessive and unnecessary packaging and boxes on the trees. We have a fantastic relationship with our distribution partner who take great care in delivering the trees to you in the perfect condition that they will have left us in.
We are a Christmas tree grower and have been growing Christmas trees for over 40 years. All of our trees are from a sustainable forest environment. This means that we replant more trees every year to replace the ones we sell. We also only sell a quota of trees so once we have reached our allotted amount of certain sizes that size then sells out.
We always suggest to our customers that they recycle their trees. This is something that is done by most local councils so it is definitely worth giving them a call to arrange this.
