If you prefer a more understated scent, consider a Nordman Fir instead.
Norway Spruce can drop needles more readily than some other varieties, especially if it becomes too warm or dry. To help keep it looking its best, place it away from radiators and fires, use a suitable water-holding stand, and keep it topped up with water.
Real Norway Spruce makes an ideal outdoor Christmas tree. It will last longer outside and gives a traditional festive feel.

That said, it’s possible to use Norway Spruce as an indoor Christmas tree. It just needs a little more care than other varieties in terms of keeping it cool and watered so it doesn’t dry out and doesn’t lose its needles quite so quickly.
These are both popular types of Christmas tree. Norway spruce is ideally suited to the outdoors, with a classic shape and strong festive scent. Nordman Fir, on the other hand, makes a better indoor tree, with good needle retention, soft needles and a more subtle fragrance.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. Either would make a fine addition to your home!
